Kinor Terms of Use
Last updated: September 17, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Barukel Systems LTDA, which provides the Kinor app. By using the app, you agree to what is written here. If the user is a child or a teenager, a parent or legal guardian accepts these terms on their behalf.
1. What the app is
Kinor is a violin study app: music theory lessons, exercises, a repertoire with sheet music, reading and tuning games, and feedback on melodies you play, using the device's microphone.
It is a study aid: it does not replace a teacher and does not issue any certificate, diploma or proof of completion.
2. What is free and what needs a subscription
- Free: the lessons in the 1st Period and the Golden Tuning exercise.
- With a subscription: all other lessons and exercises.
The subscription is monthly and renews automatically. The price, as provided by the store, is shown on the subscription screen before you buy. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store, under each store's rules.
To avoid being charged for the next month, cancel in the store at least 24 hours before renewal. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
The subscription is sold to you by Google Play or the App Store, which handle the right of withdrawal and refunds under their own terms. When you subscribe, you get immediate access to the digital content, as shown by the store at checkout.
3. Children and teenagers
The app can be used by people of all ages. The subscription is bought with an adult's store account, and that adult is responsible for it.
4. What you may not do
- Copy, redistribute or resell the content of the lessons and the repertoire.
- Hack, modify or reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it, or unlock paid content without a subscription.
- Share the subscription. It is for personal use: schools, teachers, classes and other groups may not use one subscription for several students. The app accepts the subscription on one device at a time.
- Use the app for any purpose other than your own study.
5. Content and rights
The lessons, texts, illustrations and the structure of the course belong to Barukel Systems LTDA and are licensed to you for personal study, with no right to redistribute them.
The melodies in the repertoire are public domain works, and the scores in the app were written out by us.
6. Microphone and privacy
The microphone is used live, in the tuning exercises and for feedback on the melodies you play. No audio is recorded or sent. What the app stores is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Progress
The app has no account: your progress stays only on the device. Switching phones, uninstalling the app or clearing its data starts your progress from scratch, and it cannot be recovered. Your subscription, on the other hand, belongs to your store account and can be restored on another device with the "Restore purchase" button. Only one device can use the subscription at a time.
8. Availability
We do our best to keep the app working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the absence of faults. The app may change, and gain or lose features, over time.
If we change or remove a paid feature in a way that negatively affects you, we will tell you in the app in advance, and you can cancel the subscription before the change takes effect.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as is, and Barukel Systems LTDA is not liable for loss of progress caused by a device fault, a change of phone, uninstalling the app or clearing its data. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these terms
If anything changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We will let you know about significant changes in the app.
We will give at least 30 days' notice in the app before significant changes take effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel the subscription before then.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and any dispute may be brought before the courts where the consumer lives. Consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where they live and may bring proceedings there.
12. If you downloaded the app from the App Store
These terms are between you and Barukel Systems LTDA, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support, or for any claim related to it, including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; to the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Ending and other terms
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling the subscription in the store. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks section 4. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Barukel Systems LTDA about the app.
